Rapper Lil Durk injured at Lollapalooza concert – NBC Chicago

Prominent Chicago rapper Lil Durk said he was “taking a break” after being injured during a Saturday stage performance at Lollapalooza.

A video on social media showed Lil Durk performing when what appeared to be pyrotechnics exploded in front of him. The rapper posted a photo of himself on Instagram on Sunday, with gauze covering his right eye.

He only called what happened an “incident” and did not provide detailed details.

“Due to the incident that happened at Lollapalooza in Chicago onstage, I will be taking a break and focusing on my health,” he said in the post. “I finished my performance yesterday for my fans. Thank you all.”

Lollapalooza, the popular four-day summer festival in Grant Park, is considered one of the biggest music festivals in the United States.
