Rams vs. Eagles Weather Update: Winter Storm Warning in Philadelphia Today

Weather will be a factor in today’s Rams-Eagles game.

The National Weather Service has issued a winter storm warning that covers the southeastern Pennsylvania region, including Philadelphia, where the Rams and Eagles will kick off today at 3 p.m. ET.

“Forecasts tend to be colder and snowier, so we have expanded the Winter Storm Warning and it now includes all of southeastern Pennsylvania, including Philadelphia,” the National Weather Service said in a press release published Sunday morning. “Precipitation shifts into the late morning through early afternoon, with the heaviest snow falling between 4 p.m. and 9 p.m., when snowfall rates could reach or exceed 1 inch per hour.”

The forecast calls for a kickoff temperature of 35 degrees, with snow likely to fall for much or all of the game.

The cold and snow appear to favor the Eagles at home, but the Rams said this week they are preparing for the weather and will be ready. If the Rams can pull off an upset today, they’ll be the home team for next week’s NFC championship game — when they hope fire-ravaged Los Angeles will be ready to play the playoff game at home they were. I can’t play the joker round.
