Rams trade and take Florida State DT Braden Fiske in 2nd round – Orange County Register

HERMOSA BEACH – The Rams weren’t happy with a single member of the Florida State defense after selecting Jared Verse in the first round on Thursday. To open the second day of the NFL Draft, the Rams traded for Seminole defensive tackle Braden Fiske with the 39th overall pick in the second round.

To move up 13 spots from No. 52, the Rams traded a 2024 fifth-round pick (No. 155) and their 2025 second-round selection to the Carolina Panthers.

Fiske, 24, is a 6-foot-4, 292-pound prospect who began his career at Western Michigan before transferring to Florida State for his senior season. He earned third-team AP All-American honors, starting 13 games with 9 tackles for loss and six sacks.

He’ll team up with Verse, the FSU outside linebacker the Rams selected with the 19th overall pick on Thursday, and slot in alongside second-year tackle Kobie Turner as the Rams turn the page on the Aaron Donald era after the tackle. retired last month.
