The former secretary general of the Ysr Vijay Sai Reddy Congress Party, who resigned from the party as well as his membership in Rajya Sabha in January of this year, said the Special Investigation team of the Andhra Pradesh police that it was Raj Kasireddy who was aware of the money relations in the alleged scam of Liqueur who occurred during the Jagan Mohan Reddy.
Addressing the media after the interrogation by the sitting authorities, Sai Reddy simulated the ignorance of the monetary track in the alcohol sector.
“I told them that I had no role in the alcohol business and that I did not know the payment of bribes in the agreement,” he said.
Sai Reddy, however, openly said that it was Raj Kasireddy who had managed all monetary transactions in the alcohol sector.
“I told them that I did not know who were the beneficiaries of the money collected by Raj Kasireddy. Only he will be able to say who is the big boss to whom the money has disappeared,” he said.
He said that Raj Kasireddy, with the former-MD of AP Beverages Corporation Ltd d Vasudeva Reddy, deputy Mithun Reddy and others attended meetings held at his residences (Sai Reddy) in Hyderabad and Vijayawada.
The former deputy described Raj Kasireddy as a criminal and cunning person.
“It was presented to me by members of the party themselves. He deceived the government and the public, would have created new alcohol brands using three companies and sold them,” he said.
Regarding the role of Mithun Reddy throughout the issue, Sai Reddy said that only Raj Kasireddy would be able to reveal what role the YSRCP deputy had played in the alcohol agreement.
“I don’t know who supports Raj Kasireddy,” he said.
He said he had recommended two companies – Decart and Adan – to the government for the supply of alcohol.
“I helped obtain a loan of 100 Aurobindo rupes with 12% interest in these companies – Rs 60 crosses one company and Rs 40 crosses another – and I assured that reimbursements were made accordingly,” he said.
He said he was described as backstabber by Jagan.
“Being in the second position, I was pushed to the 2000 position. I endured many humiliations in the YSRCP,” he said.
