Rachael Kirkconnell Details Learning About Matt James’ Breakup Message On The Plane
As the Bachelor Nation star explained, as she boarded a plane to take off from Tokyo, that’s when she was alerted that their split had now become public, thanks to Matt’s Instagram post announcing their split — and then couldn’t access Wi-Fi for another 12 hours.
“We’re literally getting ready to take off and my phone is blowing up,” she noted. “She’s one of my best friends and she says ‘Rach,’ with a bunch of question marks, and as soon as I saw that, I was like, ‘Oh my God, how does she know,’ and then she texted me again and was like, ‘I saw Matt’s message. Is this real life?’ And that’s how I found out he posted. So, literally, the plane takes off and I see his post, and that’s it. I have no service or anything for the next twelve hours. »
“So I’m freaking out because, you know, I just broke up and now, a few hours later, it’s out for the world to see and I’m still trying to figure this out,” she continued. “I’m still in total shock, so I know the whole world is seeing this. I’m like, ‘This is so crazy. I can’t even wrap my head around this right now.'”
