The Eagles defense made a few good plays on the Rams’ first offensive drive in Sunday’s playoff game, but Los Angeles eventually got into the end zone to take a lead, 7-6. During practice, rookie CB Quinyon Mitchell left the game after tackling Matthew Stafford and did not return.
Eagles reporter Olivia Reiner spoke to the rookie after the game, and Mitchell didn’t think it would be a long-term problem and doesn’t expect it to keep him on the sidelines for long, if at all .
I just spoke to Quinyon Mitchell in the dressing room, who was in a good mood. He said he was “fine” after his shoulder injury. When I asked him if he had any long-term concerns, he said, “No, I’ll be good.” »

NFL insider Jordan Schultz also shared a positive update:
Sources: #Eagles Star rookie CB Quinyon Mitchell reportedly did not suffer a serious shoulder injury in tonight’s win over the #Rams.
Despite leaving the game, the team remains “hopeful and optimistic” that Mitchell will be ready for the NFC Championship against Washington. pic.twitter.com/LXgOmow8L1

While the broadcast touted the number of defensive snaps Mitchell played as a rookie, he ended up leaving the field to be checked out and ultimately ended up in the blue medical tent. He was deemed doubtful to return after suffering a shoulder injury and headed to the locker room shortly after.
Shortly after halftime, the team announced that Mitchell would not return and had been ruled out.
With Mitchell on the sidelines, Isaiah Rodgers took his place. Rodgers has filled in for Darius Slay quite a bit throughout the season, so he has relationships with defensive backs and can hopefully rise to the occasion.
