Queen Mary and King Frederik accused of faking their official royal portrait – after Princess Kate took responsibility for their royal photo mishap

Royal watchers have accused Denmark’s Queen Mary and King Frederik of photoshopping their first official royal portrait weeks after their British counterparts were criticized for posting a “fake” Mother’s Day photo.

The official photo of the royal couple was released on Friday and showed the Australian-born queen alongside the king.

Queen Mary wore a dark green velvet and lace dress and the crown’s “most complete” heirloom jewelry set with matching emeralds.

Many praised the “beauty” of the photo, but also questioned whether it had been manipulated, with some saying the couple had “obviously” taken their individual portraits and photoshopped them together.

“Nice photo, but another digitally enhanced royal photo,” one woman commented on the photo – receiving several likes.

“Is this photoshopped?” I mean, it looks like they were photographed separately and then put together? Mary looks exquisite and Frederik, well the king looks like he just rolled out of bed,” one woman wrote.

“Terrible translation. So stiff and awkward. AI,” asked another.

Others pointed out the placement of Queen Mary’s hand in front of King Frederik’s, saying it looked out of place.

“Looks like Queen Mary was placed in Fred’s photo. Hand position is identical,” one fan said.

The palace confirmed the photo was real and said “the official gala portrait of the Royal Household has not been manipulated.”

Many claimed any photoshopping would make sense given the recent affair rumors that circulated after the then-prince was spotted hanging out with his friend and socialite Genoveva Casanova in Spain last year.

“She has so much tension!” and are they even in the room together it looks like a set up,” said another.

“Why did he cheat, I’m so mad at him,” said another.

“Oh, she’s beautiful, but so tense!” Something is wrong,” assumed another.

Others continued to talk about the couple’s alleged indifference, without clarifying whether the photo could have been fabricated.

“She’s a cold-looking Mary. I don’t think she’s that crazy to have to stand so close to Freddy!’

The palace told the Daily Mail it does not comment on rumors when asked about the alleged affair.

This is not the first time royal watchers have questioned a photo released by the Danish palace.

On January 8, they took a photo of Prince Vincent and Princess Josephine for their 13th anniversary.

But fans of the family claimed the children posed exactly as they did in a group photo that appeared to have been taken on the same day.

This led people to wonder if the twins had been edited together for the birthday tribute.

People are trusting royal photos less after a disastrous Mother’s Day photo of Kate Middleton and her children was released on behalf of Kensington Palace.

16 “errors” were found in the portrait which became the first official portrait of the royal household to be recalled by photo agencies.

Before the ascension of King Frederik, a portrait showed Mary standing at her husband's side, gently kissing his arm as she leaned toward him and he faced forward.

After her ascension, the next official portrait showed the mother of four standing just behind the king's left side as the two men faced each other slightly.

Mary stood behind or facing Frederick in the two previous official portraits. This progression signifies Mary’s rise in power as she takes on more duties as Queen Consort.

Royal aides claimed the image of the Princess of Wales and her children was taken by Prince William.

Princess Charlotte’s hand on Kate’s zipper, Prince Louis’ sweater, and Prince George’s arm were all obviously “fake” in the photo.

Other issues include Charlotte’s skirt and knees, Louis’ sweater and hand, Kate’s hair and George’s sleeve, and the ledge and step in the background.
