Minneapolis (Fox 9) – A shooting injured two people outside Mariucci Arena on the University of Minnesota Campus Friday evening during the graduation ceremony of the Wayzata high school. A suspect is in detention.

What we know:
According to the University of Minnesota Police Service, around 8:20 p.m. on Friday, May 30, a shooting occurred outside Mariucci Arena after the Wayzata diploma ceremony. The UMPD responded to paramedical places and paramedics transported two victims to the Comté de Hennepin medical center. Their condition is unknown at the moment.
A suspect is in detention and the police do not believe that there is a continuous threat to the region.
What we don’t know:
Friday evening, we do not know if the victims or the suspects are linked to the graduation ceremony of the Wayzata high school.
What they say:
In an article on social networks, the AU of Mr. Regent James Farnsworth qualified the incident as “very disturbing and scary” while updating that people who know the situation “do not believe that students were injured”.
Governor Tim Walz has also weighed on social networks: “While civil servants put the suspect in police custody, I pray for the wounded. We are in contact with public security of the UMN, and the state is ready to help in any way possible.”
