Four years after the release of Psychonauts 2The Double Fine developer returned with Keeper. It is a third -person action adventure translating the mysterious trip of a suddenly sensitive lighthouse, and it is launched for the X / S series and PC in X / PC in October.
The guardian’s adventure through an atmospheric post-human world begins on a distant island in the shade of a mountain, where a ruined lighthouse is located. For currently unexplained reasons, her ancient masonry suddenly earns life – and her legs – after which she begins a trip to the imminent mountain, accompanied by a curious curious.
Double Fine says that the Odyssey that followed – a “story told without words” – presents a mixture of exploration, puzzle resolution and “inattendist differences in reality”. Along the way, the lighthouse learns to use its beam of light to affect the flora and fauna of the world, and to mysteriously keep the teas. His bird companion, meanwhile, is able to interact with old mechanisms to clean the path to come.
“Together, these two improbable friends left together in an epic adventure”, explains the double fine in its announcement, “an odyssey of the mystifying metamorphosis, and a journey that will bring them in the kingdoms beyond understanding.”
And if that has stung your curiosity, Keeper launches for Xbox Series, PC and Game Pass on October 17 of this year.
