He failed to score as his side were beaten 1-0 by Borussia Dortmund at Signal Iduna Park on Wednesday evening.

This means PSG will now have to come from behind in the second leg next week to qualify for the final at Wembley.

After the full-time whistle, the 25-year-old was forced to undergo a doping test.

While he was taking part in the doping control, the rest of his teammates were already starting to join the team coach.

According to Le Parisien, the bus left for the airport without him.

The PSG team left Signal Iduna Park because they wanted to avoid waiting too long outside the stadium.

This meant Mbappe was forced to travel to the airport in a private car which eventually met the rest of his team at the terminal.

Mbappé is expected to leave PSG and join Real Madrid when his contract expires at the end of the season.

The French star is desperate for Champions League glory this season in what will likely be his final campaign at PSG.

However, he now has the difficult task of turning things around against Dortmund at the Parc des Princes in the second leg.

Jamie Carragher, ‘eight pints’ deep, stammers his words as he does hilarious interview with Jadon Sancho after Borussia Dortmund’s Champions League semi-final first leg win over Paris Saint-Germain

He hit the post during the match but was unable to find the net, with the headlines instead going to Jadon Sancho.

Sancho reportedly “outperformed” Mbappe that night, with Owen Hargreaves praising the Manchester United loanee.

Hargreaves told TNT Sports: “It deserves all the praise. All the haters can hate and say he didn’t do it consistently.

“He surpassed the best player in the world today, Kylian Mbappé, and that deserves a lot of praise.”

Mbappé had a night to forget on and off the pitch at Dortmund, but he will be aiming for revenge next Tuesday night.
