LOS Angeles – The evacuation orders were raised Thursday for tens of thousands while firefighters with air support slowed down the spread of a huge forest fire which takes place through damaged mountains north of Los Angeles, But new flames broke out in the County of San Diego, briefly triggering more evacuations.
South California is under a red flag warning for the risk of critical fire until Friday. The region was faced with constant challenges in fire control, while dangerous winds again acquired forces on Thursday.
The Hughes fire broke out Wednesday morning and in less than a charred day nearly 16 square miles (41 square kilometers) of trees and brushes near Lake Castaic, a popular leisure area around 40 miles (64 kilometers ) devastating fires of Eaton and palisades that burn for a third week.
The crews have made significant progress at the end of the afternoon on the Hughes fire, with more than a third of it.
Two new flames were reported on Thursday in the San Diego region. The evacuations were ordered but were then lifted after a brush fire broke out at the end of the afternoon in the rich enclave of the Jolla near the University of California in San Diego, School of Medicine. Further south, near the American-Mexican border, another fire quickly spread through the Wilderness Otay Mountain, which houses the quino butterfly in disappearance and other unique species.
In the county of Ventura, a new fire briefly caused the evacuation of the California State University islands to Camallo. Breathtaking helicopters quickly made progress against Laguna fire which broke out in hills above the campus of around 7,000 students. The evacuation order was then demoted to a warning.
The rain is scheduled for the weekend, potentially putting the drought period in southern Southern California. The winds are not as strong either as when the palisades and Eaton fires broke out, allowing airwater -fighting aircraft to throw tens of thousands of gallons late.

This helped the fight against Hughes fire in the Castaic region north of Los Angeles, allowing helicopters to drop water, which prevented him from growing up, said the Fire spokesman , Jeremy Ruiz.
“We had helicopters to drop water until about 3 am that kept him in check,” he said.
Nearly 54,000 inhabitants of the Castaic region were still under evacuation warnings on Thursday, said the Sheriff department of the County of Los Angeles. There was no report of houses or other burned structures.
On Wednesday, Kayla Amara went to the Castaic district of Stonegate to collect articles from the house of a friend who had rushed to look for her daughter in nursery school. While Amara was packing the car, she learned that the fire had exploded and decided to kill itself on the property.
Amara, a nurse who lives in neighboring Valencia, said that she has been in advance for weeks while the main Fulaux devastate southern California.
“It was stressful with these other fires, but now that he is close to his home, it’s just super stressful,” she said.
The fire of the palisades was more than three quarters contained, and the fire Eaton was under control Thursday. The two fires killed at least 28 people and destroyed more than 14,000 structures since they broke out on January 7.

The rain was to start on Saturday, according to the National Weather Service. The officials welcomed the wet time, but the crews also stifled hills and install barriers to prevent debris flows while the residents returned to the charred regions of the Pacific and the Altadena.
California fires have generally caused at least $ 28 billion in insured damage and probably a little more in uninsured damage, according to Karen Clark and Company, a catastrophe modeling company known for its specific post-catastrophe damage.
As part of this evaluation, California’s Republicans postponed the suggestions by President Donald Trump, Chamber of Chamber Mike Johnson and others that federal aid on the catastrophe for forest fire victims should be attached.
The state legislature approved on Thursday a rescue for fires over $ 2.5 billion to help the Los Angeles region recover from fires.
Trump plans to go to the state to see first -hand damage on Friday, but it is not clear if he and the Democratic Governor Gavin Newsom will meet during the visit.
