An inmate who was filmed having sex with a female guard inside HMP Wandsworth suffered head injuries after being attacked by another prisoner, it has been reported.
Linton Weirich, a convicted burglar, was filmed with disgraced prison guard Linda De Sousa Abreu in a clip that went viral online.
Last week she was sentenced to 15 months in prison after admitting one count of misconduct in public office.
It has now emerged that Weirich, who was moved to another prison after the clip went viral, was seriously injured in a violent attack.
The alleged assault took place when his girlfriend visited him at category B prison in Swaleside, on the Isle of Sheppey, in December. The three-month-old baby Weirich was holding at the time also suffered a skull fracture.

It appears the baby was injured when Weirich, who was allegedly punched in the head, fell on top of the infant.
He and the baby were taken to hospital for examination and treatment, but both were later discharged.
Police confirmed a suspect had been identified but said no arrests had yet been made.
A Kent Police spokesperson said: “It appears a prisoner was punched by another inmate in a visitors area. The victim suffered a head injury and fell on a three-month-old baby he was holding in his arms.
“The baby suffered a skull fracture but has since been released from hospital. The suspect has been identified and an investigation is underway.
Linton Weirich is serving a prison sentence for a burglary in which he stole valuables worth £65,000.
A Prison Service spokesperson added: “Police are investigating an assault on a prisoner at HMP Swaleside on December 18. It would be inappropriate to comment further while she investigates. »
Weirich is serving a four-and-a-half year sentence after being convicted of a £650,000 burglary at a Kensington flat.
He was filmed by a fellow inmate in his cell having sex with married Abreu, 30, in June last year.
She was identified by prison officials when the clip was uploaded to social media and went viral.
She was then arrested at Heathrow Airport while trying to board a flight to Madrid with her father.
It later emerged that another recording of her performing a sex act with Weirich was found on her prison body-worn camera.
When she appeared at Isleworth Crown Court for sentencing, she admitted having sex with this prisoner on another occasion.
