Princess Diana’s siblings attended Invictus’ birthday

Earlier this week, Prince Harry marked the 10th anniversary of the Invictus Games in the UK with a special service at St Paul’s Cathedral. Although royals like King Charles and Prince William were busy during the event (despite receiving invitations), Harry had support from a few other family members.

Harry was photographed alone at the cathedral on Wednesday, although he appeared to be in good spirits as he smiled and waved to onlookers. However, the siblings of Harry’s late mother Princess Diana, Lady Jane Fellowes and Earl Charles Spencer were also seen arriving separately. The two were all smiles as they headed into the ceremony. Harry’s cousins Lara Spencer, Louis Spencer and George McCorquodale also made an appearance, according to Town and country.

King Charles and Queen Camilla were unable to attend the Invictus celebrations as they were hosting a garden party at the same time at Buckingham Palace, while Prince William was carrying out investitures at Windsor Castle. Harry also reportedly invited his sister-in-law, Kate Middleton. However, the princess has taken a break from her royal commitments as she undergoes treatment for cancer.

Over the years, Harry remained in touch with his mother’s side of the family. When Harry and his wife, Meghan Markle, were in England for Queen Elizabeth’s funeral in 2022, the couple also visited Althorp, Diana’s childhood home and final resting place, and spent time with Harry’s aunts and uncles. Diana’s sisters, Lady Jane and Lady Sarah McCorquodale, also reportedly attended the christening of Harry and Meghan’s daughter Lilibet in 2023, according to People.

Harry has since flown to Nigeria for his first official international tour with Markle since stepping back from royal duties. The couple attended a mental health summit at the Lightway Academy in Abuja on Friday, where they both spoke about the importance of ending the stigma surrounding mental health, as well as attending a performance of local students.
