Princess Bea is a hit for Spotify after ‘scammers’ row with Harry and Meghan, writes EMILY PRESCOTT

Harry and Meghan were branded “fucking crooks” by Spotify boss Bill Simmons after making just 12 episodes, despite an £18 million multi-year deal with the streaming company.

But the breakdown of their contract hasn’t deterred Spotify from forging ties with Royals – as Harry’s cousin Beatrice appears to be establishing a working relationship with the company without shouting from the rooftops, perhaps for fear of showing Montecito jams.

I can reveal that last week Beatrice, 35, attended an industry event at Spotify’s London office, where she hosted a discussion on the future of technology.

Alongside him were Priya Dogra, former boss of Warner Bros. Discovery, and Sakshi Chhabra Mittal, founder of science-based meal delivery service Foodhak.

Beatrice, eldest daughter of Prince Andrew and his ex-wife Sarah Ferguson, is no stranger to technology.

Since 2017, she has been vice president of partnerships and strategy at the American software and data company Tandiiti.

She is also, I can reveal, the director of a company called BY-EQ, which she set up in 2022 under the modest name Beatrice York.

Last year, Harry and Meghan’s Spotify deal, signed in 2020 after their move to America, was canceled following one season of the Meghan’s Archetypes podcast after they allegedly failed to meet “productivity benchmarks”.

Addressing the end of the deal, United Talent Agency CEO Jeremy Zimmer said: “It turns out Meghan Markle wasn’t a big audio talent, or necessarily any kind of talent.”

Meghan is focusing on her lifestyle brand, American Riviera Orchard.

Last week, she launched the first product by sending jars of homemade strawberry jam to influencers.
