Prince William’s reaction to viral ‘Shake It Off’ video

Prince William shed his royal persona and became a true Swiftie when he took his children, Prince George and Princess Charlotte, to see Taylor Swift perform at Wembley Stadium on Friday. While George and Charlotte – and William, for that matter – certainly loved seeing the pop star perform her hits in London, the internet fell in love with the Prince of Wales’ dancing during the concert – and it doesn’t seem to bother him.

During the 1989 segment of The Eras Tour, Swift performed her hit track “Shake It Off.” Fans in the stadium zoomed in on William’s section and saw him energetically shake his body and snap his fingers to the song, his dancing skills finally showing a less buttoned-up version of himself that is rarely seen by the public.

According to Entertainment this evening, William isn’t bothered by his “dancing dad” going viral online. In fact, he’s “Mr. Perfectly Fine” with it. A source told the outlet: “He’s focusing on his wife and kids right now. He really wanted it to be a special night for Prince George and Princess Charlotte.”

Although the concert fell on William’s 42nd birthday, the tickets were mainly for Charlotte, who is said to be the biggest Swiftie in the family. “Princess Charlotte is the big Taylor Swift fan in the family,” a second source said. AND. “She had wanted to go to the concert for months, but with her mother being treated for cancer, it was a really special day to be able to celebrate her dad’s birthday like that. Charlotte absolutely loved it.”

“They are truly wonderful children. William and Kate have done a fantastic job raising all three of them,” the source continued. “They understand and appreciate how lucky they are to meet someone like Taylor Swift.”

After the concert, Swift posed for a selfie with William and his family and both posted it to their respective Instagram pages. On the pop star’s page, she used the post to make it Instagram official with boyfriend Travis Kelce, as they posed alongside the royals for a selfie. “Happy Birthday M8! London shows are off to a great start,” Swift captioned the photo.

On Wales’ official Instagram, one photo – without Kelce – was captioned: “Thank you @taylorswift for a great night! #LondonTSTheErastour.”
