Prince William has facial hair again
When Prince William posted a quick little Olympic video congratulating Team Great Britain, there was no way the world was ready for the debut of his royal beard — and the change left a contingent of royal fans very very The casual, unkempt look was a stark contrast to the prince’s usual buttoned-up look and while it broke royal protocol and remembered that facial hair was a point of contention with his brother, Prince Harry, William brought the look back today for an engagement for Homewards, a charity he works with to help the homeless in the UK.
William’s beard was back in full force during his first royal outing since returning from his summer vacation. During a stop at the Saatchi Gallery in London, William showed off his cool dad beard and wore his favorite button-down shirt undone, revealing a glimpse of his chest hair and adding another layer of casualness to his regal aura. According to The mirrorWilliam’s facial hair sent fans wild earlier this summer and many were disappointed to see him clean-shaven when he was pictured at Crathie Kirk in Balmoral.
On X, one beard fan wrote: “Prince William has a beard again. Thank you William,” while another added: “What do my eyes see?! I love this era.” Others commented: “William’s beard is back and he’s never looked better! Hopefully he’ll keep the razor away this time,” and “OMG, Prince William’s beard is back!”
The mirror William adds that the gallery came to see his latest exhibition, “Homelessness: Reframed,” which features sculptures, photographs and everyday objects. Many of the artists involved have experienced homelessness and the project aims to share their personal stories and offer a new perspective on homelessness.
“You have this exhibition that takes people through the journey of homelessness and the trauma that people have gone through, but also the positivity that comes out of it,” the Homewards team shared.
William’s schedule currently has him in London, but he will soon be heading to Wales, Kensington Palace said. Next week, he will travel to Llanelli, South Wales, to celebrate sport and culture, visit a primary school, stop by a girls’ rugby team and make an appearance with the Wales Air Ambulance.
