In an exclusive interview with CBS News Partner Network BBC News, Prince Harry said on Friday that he would love reconciliation “with other members of the royal family. He said that he was “devastated” to the British High Court on Friday Reigning in its reduced security detailsWhich, according to him, makes “impossible” for him to bring his family back to the United Kingdom
“I do not see a world in which I would bring my wife and children to the United Kingdom to this stage,” said Harry to the BBC. “I miss parts of the United Kingdom, of course I do it. And I think it’s really very sad not to be able to show, you know, my children.”
Harry, his wife Meghan and their two children Archie and Lilibet are now living in California. Harry said the initial decision to withdraw his automatic security law was due to resigning him as a senior member of the royal family in 2020.
“It is, at the heart, a family dispute. And it makes me really, really sad that we are sitting here today, five years later, where a decision that was made, most likely – in fact, I know – to keep us under their roof,” Harry told the BBC. “But then, once they realized that it was not going to work, once they realized that, you know myself, my wife, my children are happier outside the institution, so just look at the facts. Look at the risk. Look at the threat. Look at the impact. If something was mine, I happened, I am going to the responsibility, window.”
Friday, the Court of Appeal of England and Wales rejected the Harry affair, which was focused on how an official committee decided to withdraw its large -scale automatic security in 2020. Other senior royals receive such security.
The court said that the Committee, called Ravec, diverged from politics when it made its decision, but that it had been “sensitive” because of Harry’s particular circumstances.
Harry said he could no longer return to the United Kingdom safely if he is invited by the royal family, because it is only then that he receives sufficient security.
“Everyone knew they were putting us in danger in 2020, and they hoped that me knowing that this risk would force us to come back. But when you realize that it did not work, you do not want to keep us safe?” Said Harry. “Whether you are the government, the royal house, whether you are my father, my family – despite all our differences – do not just want to ensure our security?”
Harry said he was cut off from his father, King Charles, who is underway Cancer treatment.
“I would love reconciliation with my family. There is no point in continuing to fight. Life is precious. I don’t know how long my father has. He won’t talk to me because of this security thing. But it would be good to reconcile.” Said Harry.
