There is new evidence that the exceptional characteristics displayed by Prince Harry and Prince William during their feud are childish petulance.

As it appears Prince Harry reportedly made no effort to reach out to his brother Prince William during his UK trip with Meghan because he is angry at William’s failure to ‘unpack’ his part in the “dark times” Harry and his wife suffered before leaving the royal family.

Prince William and Prince Harry will not unite to mark Diana’s birthday

William, meanwhile, is waiting for Harry to apologize for the whole family slagging situation to billions on Oprah.

And guess what?

Neither of them plan to take the first step, despite both living so close to each other while Harry and Meghan are in the UK.

The news of the fresh non-development of the childish princes came from writer Omid Scobie, who wrote a sympathetic biography of Harry and Meghan, for which he was briefed by their team. He is believed to be close to the Sussex machine and has tweeted the Sussex line in the past, leading to him being described as an unofficial spokesperson or spokesperson for the Sussex team.

Scobie, writing on Yahoo!quoted “someone who knows current family dynamics” as having told him, “There is a laughable effort to suggest the [Sussexes] were shunned…the truth is they never contacted the Cambridges.

Scobie quoted a ‘senior palace aide’ as saying that ‘certain family members’ (for which read: William and Kate) did not ‘have a say in the matter’ of whether they would meet or nope.

Scobie quotes a ‘family friend’ as saying: ‘People are desperate for action to be taken, but behind the scenes there has been no movement… What [Harry] awaits responsibility… Many lines have been crossed by William. He has been at the center of a number of painful moments, from the actions of his own staff to turning his back on him when support was needed. It was a dark time and one that, until now, William was not ready to unpack.

Scobie says the same friend told him that William was “still waiting” for Harry to apologize for going public with family secrets.

Here at The Daily Beast we refer you to a June 23 analysis of The Royalist in which we observed:

William’s inability to work things out with his brother speaks profoundly to one of the defining character traits of the Windsor clan: stubbornness.

To be fair, stubbornness is on both sides.

Harry is waiting for his apology, but William’s point of view, simply put, is that he’s not the one who needs to apologize. He wasn’t the one who committed the ultimate crime of exposing the family to the media.

And so the two brothers, so physically close to each other and having time to meet face to face, are rather apart, seething.
