Prince Harry arrived in Nigeria this morning with Meghan Markle after a brief visit to the United Kingdom where he was snubbed by the king.

The duo is here to celebrate the 10th anniversary of their Invictus Games.

The Duke of Sussex, 39, arrived in the UK on Tuesday afternoon for the thanksgiving service to celebrate the birthday. His wife Meghan, 42, is celebrating in the UK.

On Wednesday, just a few miles from the service, Charles welcomed guests to the first garden party of the year at Buckingham Palace.

The monarch and his son did not meet during Harry’s brief visit to the United Kingdom due to the king’s “full schedule,” Harry’s spokesperson said in a statement.

This statement was followed by news of a so-called “second snub”: Prince William is set to be named colonel-in-chief of Harry’s former military regiment, the Army Air Corps.

The fifth candidate for the throne has not been to the country since February, when he met the king for a flying visit following the monarch’s cancer diagnosis.

The couple are expected to visit a school before meeting injured service members at a hospital as part of events marking the 10th anniversary of the Invictus Games.

Other events include a training session for a charity that works with games, Nigeria: Unconquered, and a reception honoring military families.

The Invictus Games, created by Prince Harry in 2014, give injured and ill military personnel the opportunity to showcase their sporting skills.

Harry and Meghan will also visit a basketball camp and polo fundraiser.

According to reports, the couple were invited to Nigeria by the country’s Chief of Defense Staff, who was said to have been “delighted” to have accepted the invitation.

Harry and Meghan arrive in Nigeria for Invictus Games celebrations

The Duke of Sussex, 39, flew from the United Kingdom where he briefly visited alone to mark the anniversary of the event he founded in 2014.

He arrived on Tuesday afternoon (May 7) and suffered two apparent reprimands from his family.

The first was the news that his father, King Charles, was reportedly too busy to see his youngest son after returning to work last week.

The second snub came in the form of the news that Prince Wiliam would soon be appointed colonel-in-chief of Harry’s old military regiment, the Army Air Corps.

Harry appeared to show courage at the UK appreciation ceremony which he attended on Wednesday without his immediate family.

He smiled at well-wishers from the public who came to watch his first public event in some time and he was supported at the ceremony by various members of the Spencer family.

Body language expert says Harry was relieved by warm UK welcome

A body language expert has claimed Prince Harry was relieved by the warm welcome he received at the Invictus Games thank you ceremony.

Psychologist Judi James said Harry’s initial posture suggested he had a degree of “anxiety” about how people would react to him in his first public appearance in some time.

“(His) lack of body engagement (probably gave him) the opportunity to walk out to save face if his welcome (was) less than warm,” she told the Online mail.

“Harry’s smile and narrowed eyes suggest he might be excited and relieved to meet fans in the UK.”

King’s trust in Harry ‘long gone’ after ‘tsunami of pain’ for royal family

King Charles III’s trust in the Duke of Sussex was “long gone” after he caused the family a “tsunami of pain”, a royal expert has claimed. Prince Harry will return to the UK in May to celebrate the 10th anniversary of the Invictus Games. According to Kinsey Schofield, Charles is happy to spend time with Harry but “will remain on guard to protect the people he loves.” Schofield told Fox News Digital: “Harry will always have access to his father, but the trust is long gone. “Harry does not take responsibility for the tsunami of suffering he has caused his family. The King sees this very clearly.”
