The president of a charity set up by Prince Harry accused him of “large -scale harassment and intimidation” after he and several others left the organization earlier this week.
The Duke of Sussex is said to have launched the campaign by the “unleashing of the Sussex machine”.
Dr. Sophie Chandauka, the president of the Sentebale charitable organization, who helps children and adolescents who find it difficult to reconcile with the diagnoses of HIV and AIDS, told Trevor Phillips on Sky News: “The only reason I am here … is because at one point on Tuesday, Prince Harry authorized the publication of a harmful writing element. ladder.”
On Tuesday, Prince Harry left the boss of the charity. He published a joint declaration with the Co-founder Prince Seeiso of Lesotho, claiming that they had been forced to resign “to support and solidarity with” the board of directors which had also resigned, due to a dispute with Chandauka, which would have been on a decision to concentrate funds in Africa.
Harry and Seeiso wrote that the relationship “has dismissed beyond reparation, creating an untenable situation”.
Sky News reported that one of her sources, which is “close to the former trustee of the Sentebale charity,” said that Chandauka’s accusation that she had been intimidated by Prince Harry and the “Sussex machine” was completely baseless.
In a statement earlier this week, Chandauka said: “There are people in this world who behave as if they were above the law and mistreat people, then play the victim card and use the press that they disdain to harm people who have the courage to challenge their conduct.
“In all the story and fiction of the victim who were unionized with the press is the story of a woman who dared to denounce the questions of bad governance, of weak executive management, abuse of power, intimidation, harassment, misogyny, misogymoir – and the concealment which ensued.”
Sentebale was created in 2006 by Harry after spending two months at Lesotho during his sabbatical year in 2004.
The acrimonious departure of the prince of the charity comes five years after saying a Sentebale dinner in 2020: “When I lost my mother … you took me under your wing. You looked at me for so long. Together, you gave me an education on life, and this role taught me more about what is right and just that I could never have imagined it, “he said to the dinner guests. “We do an act of faith, so thank you for giving me the courage to go to this next step.”
Harry representatives did not immediately respond to a request for comments on allegations.
