Prices of AMD Ryzen 9000 processors would be the same as Ryzen 7000

Yesterday, the first information regarding the AMD Ryzen 9000 “Zen 5” desktop processors, codenamed Granite Ridge, was leaked. Now there are new rumors regarding pricing and it looks like the next-gen lineup might keep the same pricing structure as the existing Ryzen 7000 desktop processors.

Rumor has it that the MSRP of the AMD 9000 series processor is the same as the 7000 series processor.

AMD Ryzen 9000 desktop processor pricing that matches the Ryzen 7000 series will be MSRP and not the recent discounted pricing that puts the Ryzen 7000 series in a very competitive position against Intel’s 14th generation lineup.

This would mean that the AMD Ryzen 9 9950X processor should cost US$699 while offering 16 cores, the Ryzen 9 9900X processor should cost US$549 while offering 12 cores, the Ryzen 7 9700X should cost US$399 while offering 8 cores and the Ryzen 5 9600X is expected to cost US$299 while offering 6 cores. All of these chips should be compatible on current and upcoming AM5 platforms such as the 600 and 800 series.

With the Ryzen 7000 being highly competitive with Intel’s 14th Gen processors and the Ryzen 9000 lineup having the same MSRPs as the last generation while delivering significant performance improvements in both single and multi-threaded workloads, we can expect this that AMD is in a very dominant position in the desktop DIY space with its upcoming Zen 5 chips.

The pricing rumor looks great for the upcoming AMD Ryzen 9000 “Zen 5” Desktopo processor lineup, which is expected to debut at Computex 2024 in the coming days.
