President-elect Trump names four new picks to serve in the White House


President-elect Trump announced his latest staff selection Saturday evening, naming four additional people to serve in the White House in administrative and advisory positions.

Trump, who takes office in less than three weeks, began by appointing Stanley E. Woodward, Jr., as assistant to the president and senior advisor.

Woodward co-founded a law firm called Brand Woodward Law, LP, where he “represented numerous high-profile clients in complex, high-stakes litigation, including several federal jury trials,” according to Trump.

“Previously, he worked at a multinational law firm where his experience included representing several international companies in the defense of alleged violations of the U.S. Foreign Corrupt Practices Act as well as coordinating attorneys with of companies involved in federal litigation nationwide,” the statement said. read.

Then, Trump said Robert Gabriel, Jr. would work as the president’s aide for policy.

“Mr. Gabriel has served President Donald J. Trump in a variety of capacities since his 2015 campaign for the most powerful office in the world,” the statement said. He started at Trump Tower as a political adviser to Mr. Trump’s historic campaign. »

“Mr. Gabriel served in the West Wing, for the duration of the first Trump administration, as Special Assistant to the President.”

Nicholas F. Luna is expected to become assistant to the president and deputy chief of staff for strategic implementation, the president-elect said. His role will be to plan and manage external White House communications.

Trump called Luna a “well-respected White House veteran and warrior of the Trump-Vance campaign.”

“He previously served in the White House as presidential travel director, personal assistant to the president, assistant to the president and director of Oval Office operations,” Trump said. “Most recently, he served with great distinction as Vice President-elect JD Vance’s Director of Operations.”

Finally, Trump said William “Beau” Harrison would serve as assistant to the president and deputy chief of staff for operations. The statement called him a “trusted aide to the president and first family.”

“During President Trump’s first term, Mr. Harrison served as liaison between the operational elements of the Executive Office of the President and was responsible for the coordination and execution of all presidential travel, including dozens of international visits complex,” added Trump’s statement. “He participated in and led several U.S. delegations around the world, to countries including North Korea, Iraq and Afghanistan, and played an integral role in planning each of the historic summits with the leader of the DPRK, Kim Jong-Un.”
