“ ONDIDE OBJECTIVE ” is the ‘difference’ – MOVESPosted at 10:43 PM British Summer Time
FT: Liverpool 1-0 Everton
Everton
The boss of Everton David Moyes, addressing Sky Sports: “I think we are much closer to them tonight than maybe when I got to the club than what I expected.
“During the two games, we gave them a good game. Tonight was really tight. An out -of -game goal they get and that’s the difference in the match tonight.”
Thinking that Jota’s goal should not stay: “The players behind Jarrad interfere with him by cleaning it. It is an easy decision to give. I do not understand any reason why this was not given offside.”
On James Tarkowski Var Decision: “I first thought it was a brilliant tackle for a derby match. A tackle that we would have seen a few years ago.
“I understand things are slightly different with the follow-up today. We may have had a little luck, don’t put this with the goal because the goal was a different incident that won the match.”
On the game: “Liverpool was the best team and that is why they are at the top of the league, but we showed great resilience and we were.
“A little heartbreaking when you think the end result came from something that was not deserved.
“We were running, the players behaved well. First defeat in 10 games.
“I thought we tried to fill this gap from their levels at our levels tonight. For the moment, they are the best team in the league.
“Tonight we did a lot of things not as good as we should have done.”
