Lindsay has previously spoken about how she chooses to believe that everything happens for a reason, telling E! News in June, “I’ve learned that the universe has its own plan for me, so I just let the universe guide me where it wants me to go.”

She also explained her desire to keep her boyfriend private, adding, “I have also learned from my past mistakes of being too public at every stage of my relationships.”
