Predicting the match order at WWE Money in the Bank 2024

It’s one thing to predict winners and losers. Money in the Bank 2024but why not guess the order of matches for the event?

Money in the bank will take place tonight (Saturday, July 6) at Scotiabank Arena in Toronto, Ontario, Canada. The event begins at 5 p.m. ET with the free two-hour Countdown broadcast on YouTube, WWE.com, and various other social channels. This leads directly into the main card at 7 p.m. ET, which you can stream from a number of devices if you have a Peacock subscription in the US and WWE Network everywhere else.

WWE announced five different segments for the main card of this event. Here’s my subjective take on the importance of each of these five segments, ranked from most important to least important.

1. Damian Priest vs Seth Rollins
2. Men’s Ranking Match
3. Women’s Ranking Match
4. Rhodes, Orton and Owens vs. The Bloodline
5. Sami Zayn vs Bron Breaker

Main event

The men’s Money in the Bank match isn’t stacked with stars and former world champions, so it doesn’t fit into the main event segment. That’s okay, because a title change is definitely on the table when Damian Priest defends the world heavyweight title against Seth Rollins, with the added bonus of Priest having to leave The Judgment Day if he loses. That title match is clearly the main event of tonight’s card.

Everything else

There are two Money in the Bank matches to be placed in the first four segments, so it makes sense to place one in Segment 1 and the other in Segment 4, to create maximum distance between them. I’ll be picking the men in the opening match, partly because Jey Uso’s entrance is super over and it could be a great way to start the show.

Another reason is that Drew McIntyre has already said he will close tonight’s show by cashing in the Money in the Bank contract. If McIntyre is going to make good on his word and win the ladder match, he should do so early in the show so that he has plenty of time throughout the show to build anticipation for his guaranteed cash-in attempt (and a possible beating from CM Punk).

With the men’s ladder match opening the show, that means the women’s match takes place in segment 4.

After that, I’ll take care of the least important match as soon as possible, which puts Zayn in segment 2 and The Bloodline in segment 3.
