We are testing the week 2 of the pre-season after a double-headed Friday and a full list of matches on Saturday, with more to come on Sunday and Monday.
The Titans-Falcons and the Chiefs-Seahawks made things ride to start the week, and the action on Saturday was filled to the brim with scenarios that will have ramifications for the start of the regular season. This included a quarter-back battle continued in Indy between Anthony Richardson and Daniel Jones, as well as the choice of third round of Cleveland Browns, Dillon Gabriel, making his debut.
Let’s take a look at some of the main dishes to remember from the first list.
Jaxson Dart continues to impress
The New York Giants Recruit Recruit was again clear on Saturday evening.
After a strong performance last week against the Buffalo Bills during his pre-season debut, Dart turned out to be a big scenario during week 2 of the pre-season.
The recruit represented two affected against the New York jets on Saturday, a launch and a current in a quarter. He finished 14 out of 16, including 13 consecutive completion at a given moment, for 137 yards and impressed this pre-season. Dart showed a good command of the offense and made the right decisions and withdrew the ball quickly.
Dillon Gabriel has a program from top to bottom
After missing the opening of the pre-season due to an injury to the hamstrings, it was Gabriel’s turn to try to tackle coach staff while Cleveland still understands his quarter masthead. The third round of Oregon was effective, completing 13 of its 18 passes for 143 yards in the afternoon. However, he also fought against turnover. Gabriel launched a PIC-6 then was credited with an escape from a sloppy transfer. These turnover does not put it exactly in the best light when it is trying to show the table of the depths.
Daniel Jones a little better than Anthony Richardson
The Indianapolis colts are still trying to understand their quarter-tree of week 1, and the battle between Jones and Richardson continued during week 2 of the pre-season. We have a deeper dive in the way in which each signal callBut the offensive looked much more fluid with Jones under the center. The ancient Giants QB had great completion of more than 20 yards to Michael Pittman Jr. and Tyler Warren during his brief projection (two discs), and was able to direct a score training.
Richardson led the only hit between the two, but he was more volatile. He had a beautiful deep ball to Anthony Gould which was recalled due to a penalty, but also had stray throws, in particular a deep bullet in major traffic in the goal area.
Again, it’s close, but Jones wins the slim victory in this tête-à-tête on Saturday.
The explosive summer of Treveyon Henderson continues
The second round recruit of New England made waves last week with its return to kick off 100 yards to start the match, and continued to flash its explosiveness during week 2 of the pre-season. Henderson played sparingly, but rushed to 20 yards on four races, which included an Nifty touch in third and 4. Since he was impressive this summer, Henderson should have an important role in the rear field of the patriots, if not start the door.
