Fans saw the funny side of Crewe’s predicament, with one sarcastically responding: “Might as well cancel, guys.”

Meanwhile, MK Dons’ statement read: “MK Dons’ play-off first leg match against Crawley Town at Broadfield Stadium has been postponed due to a waterlogged pitch.”
