Porsche accident in Pune: Minor’s mother arrested for tampering with blood sample

In the latest development in the Pune Porsche accident case, the mother of the accused minor has been arrested by the police, the city police chief said on Saturday.

Superintendent of Police Amitesh Kumar said on Saturday that during investigation, it was revealed that the minor’s blood sample was replaced with that of his mother.

A few days ago, the Pune police submitted to a local court that the blood samples of the 17-year-old boy, accused of knocking down two people while driving the luxury car, had been replaced with those of ‘a woman.

The mother allegedly exchanged her blood sample to prove that her son was not drunk at the time of the accident, according to reports.

In the early hours of May 19, two IT professionals – Aneesh Awadhiya and Ashwini Kostha – were killed in Pune’s Kalyani Nagar area after a Porsche driven by the drunk miner rammed into their two-wheeler. Both victims, aged 24, belonged to Madhya Pradesh.

The teenager was released on bail within hours by the Juvenile Justice Board (JJB), in conditions widely described as precarious, as he was asked to write a 300-word essay on road safety, in addition to have to work with traffic police for 15 days and to seek treatment for his alcohol consumption.

After a national outcry, police contacted the JJB again, who changed the order and sent him to an observation house until June 5.

Meanwhile, the minor’s father, real estate agent Vishal Agarwal, and his grandfather Surendra Agarwal were arrested by the Pune police for allegedly kidnapping and pressuring the family’s driver to take responsibility. responsibility for the accident of May 19.

According to reports, irregularities were also found during the boy’s medical examination at the Sassoon Government Hospital.

The Maharashtra Medical Education had earlier appointed a three-member committee headed by Dr Pallavi Sapale, dean of Mumbai-based Grants Medical College, to investigate the matter further.

Police have already arrested two doctors and a hospital attendant in this case. The accused’s father was also indicted for tampering with blood samples.
