The deputy of the Israeli opposition was “ashamed” there was no offense condolence
Opposition MP Gilad Kariv said he was “ashamed” that there was no official condolences expressed on the death of Pope Francis.
“I am ashamed of the fact that the Israeli government and the Israeli Knesset have not published an official message of condolences. I am here to express my condolences on behalf of the vast majority of Israeli citizens,” Kariv said during a visit to the central Catholic Church of Jerusalem.

It comes after a message of condolences that was published and then quickly suppressed by the Israeli government.
The independent contacted the Israeli embassy in London and the Israeli Foreign Ministry. He has not yet received an answer.
