Pop singer Halsey says she’s ‘lucky to be alive’ amid health problems | Halsey

Pop singer Halsey has announced she is “lucky to be alive” as she documents a series of health problems alongside the announcement of a new album.

Ashley Frangipane, 29, her real name, was treated for her illnesses. She didn’t reveal a diagnosis, but tagged the Lupus Research Alliance and the Leukemia & Lymphoma Society in her post, and made donations to both organizations.

In a video posted to Instagram, she describes herself as “like an old lady.” I told myself that I gave myself two more years to be sick. And 30 years old… I’m being reborn and I’m not going to be sick and I’m going to look super hot and have lots of energy and I’m just going to be able to do my 20s again in my 30s.

She wrote in the caption: “Long story short, I’m lucky to be alive. Long story short, I wrote an album. She released a song called The End.

Known for her unapologetically soulful pop compositions, Frangipane has amassed huge success since her breakthrough in 2015 with her debut album Badlands. Her four studio albums have all reached No. 1 or No. 2 in the United States, and she topped the singles chart there with Without Me and her collaboration with the Chainsmokers, Closer.

The latter song also reached number one in the UK, as did another collaboration, Eastside, with producer Benny Blanco and singer Khalid. Frangipane has accumulated over 50 billion streams across all platforms in her career to date.

She has lived with a series of other health issues in the past, stating on Instagram in 2022: “I’ve been sick. For a long time. My illnesses now have their name. I went to the doctor for 8 years. I’m trying to figure out what was wrong with me. I’ve been called crazy, insecure, and lazy, among other things. I completely changed my lifestyle.

She said she was diagnosed with connective tissue disease Ehlers-Danlos syndrome, immune disorders Sjögren’s syndrome and mast cell activation syndrome (MCAS), as well as POTS. postural orthostatic tachycardia) which affects the heart rate and the nervous system. She was also previously diagnosed with endometriosis.
