A base football match had to be abandoned after a referee found poop in his shoe at halftime.
The disgusting incident took place on Easter Saturday in the match between Old Malton St Mary’s and Malt Rhevel in the first division of the York Football League.
In a fiery first half, the Old Malton hosts scored an early goal thanks to a controversial penalty, before the shovel at the table table was struck to lead 2-1 to the break.
However, during the interval, the referee discovered that someone had been in his locker room and had defecated in one of his Nike Black coaches.
Although the culprit was not identified, the manager quickly qualified the match to citing the fears for his own security.

On Saturday, Old Malton posted on their Facebook page that the match had been abandoned at halftime “due to an off scope incident”.

“Our match was abandoned at halftime because when the referee entered his locker room that someone had (poop emoji) in his coaches. I seriously wonder the mentality of people.
A tiktok video showing the highlights of the match, as well as an image of the poop in the shoe, were viewed more than 2.6 million times.
A spokesperson for North Riding Fa told Mail Sport: “North Riding Fa was informed of an incident that took place on Saturday and the referee immediately offered the support of our arbitrator development agent, as well as the support of league officials.
“The case is currently the subject of a survey by the discipline teams of North Riding FA and West Riding FA and no other comments can be made until this investigation is concluded.”
