Police investigate fatal shooting at Charlestown convenience store

Officers found a 46-year-old adult man with gunshot wounds, later identified as Joseph Donahue of Charlestown. He was pronounced dead at the scene.

Police are investigating a fatal shooting that happened in the parking lot of a Charlestown 7-Eleven on Saturday night, according to officials.

Boston police responded to the convenience store at 140 Main St. around 10:30 p.m. on Dec. 4 to a report that a pedestrian was struck, according to a news release from the department. 

Officers found a 46-year-old adult man with gunshot wounds, later identified as Joseph Donahue of Charlestown. He was pronounced dead at the scene.

The department’s homicide unit is investigating. Anyone with information is asked to call the unit at 617-343-4470, or anonymously at 1-800-494-TIPS.
