The pursuit of a stolen Lexus crossed several MetroWest cities Monday.
Three individuals in a stolen Lexus attempted to elude police Monday afternoon during a wild chase across several Massachusetts highways. The business ended in a crash.
Aerial video from a state police helicopter captured the chase and the moment the car crashed after hitting stop sticks deployed by troopers on Route 290 West in Northborough.
During the accident, the stolen vehicle hit another car before coming to rest in the central reservation. None of the occupants of the other vehicle were injured, police said.
Officers quickly secured the three individuals in the Lexus, police said. Two were taken to UMass Medical Center with minor injuries, and the third, a juvenile, was transported to the Leominster barracks for booking.
The Lexus, a 2002 IS, was reported stolen from Peabody, police said. The pursuit covered several highways in Ashland, Natick, Southborough, Westborough, Bolton, Marlborough and Northborough.
During the investigation, police learned the stolen car had been involved in an earlier crash in Marlborough with two other vehicles.
