An unnamed man who was recently in a police standoff in Pennsylvania was arrested with ammunition and other weapons in Chinatown Friday evening, authorities said.

The man was detained on mental health grounds and will be arraigned on charges of illegal possession of explosives, a high-capacity ammunition feeding device and a knife, according to The Boston Globe.

Police spotted the vehicle, the subject of a BOLO (Be On Look Out) notice, on Friday evening.

The interior and bed of the white Toyota Tacoma pickup truck appeared to be filled with various items, such as blankets and broken furniture, according to police.

Officers called for backup but saw the man begin rummaging through the front seat of the truck, according to the Globe.

Police, believing it was possible the man was armed and therefore posed a threat to the public, approached the vehicle, authorities said.

After his arrest, police say they found the large spear, ammunition, a knife, and bows and arrows inside the car, according to the newspaper.

The man told officers there were fireworks and dynamite in the truck, authorities said.

However, officers wrote that a search, including the use of police dogs, turned up none, according to the World.
