Police arrest 21-year-old “knife man” who “stabbed woman in her 20s and slashed another man who tried to stop attacker” amid horror

Police have arrested a man on suspicion of stabbing after a young woman was stabbed on a high street in London.

The victim, aged in his 20s, was rushed to hospital after being stabbed in Kilburn High Street. A man in his 50s, known to the woman, also suffered a “cutting injury” to his hand.

Officers from the Metropolitan Police arrested a 21-year-old man for possession of an offensive weapon and grievous bodily harm. He is believed to have carried blades before.

He was first taken to hospital before being taken into police custody where he will be questioned by the police.

The road was closed in both directions so officers could preserve evidence at the scene.

The Metropolitan Police said: “The woman, in her 20s, was taken to hospital.

“His condition was assessed as not life-threatening.

“Local roads are currently closed as a crime scene is in place.”
