Police are looking for a man who was taken on video throwing and kicking a dog on the floor at Long Beach.
Animal Hope and Wellness published the Instagram video, which was recorded on Monday nearly 235 East 12th Street.
“The man in this video severely abuses this poor poor person merciless and must be found as soon as possible,” wrote the group in legend. “All we can say is that the man has a roller board, and therefore the other skaters in the region can be able to identify who is.”
In the video, the man lifts a dog on the ground by the leash before slamming it on the ground and kicking the animal.
The long Beach police department said that he was investigating but had not said if someone had been arrested.
“Patrol agents responded to the region and reported cruelty to animals, because the incident had not been reported to the ministry,” the department wrote in a post X on Monday. “Animal abuse is unacceptable and will not be tolerated in our community.”
People for the ethical treatment of animals said in a statement that the organization offers a reward of up to $ 5,000 for information that leads to human arrest in video.
“This dog was violently attacked – and who knows what the other abuses were not taken in front of the camera,” said Peta’s main vice -president Lisa Lange in the statement. “Someone knows this man, and Peta urges anyone with information to manifest themselves immediately – it could save the dog’s life.”
