Police: A sinkhole forces the closure of a road in the residential area of ​​El Cajon

A stretch of road in a residential area has been closed after a sinkhole opened, El Cajon police said Saturday.

The sinkhole is on Mundy Terrace, a few blocks south of Fletcher Parkway, the department tweeted.

Mundy Terrace will be closed to drivers from south of Petree Street at Wyatt Place until Monday, police said. People will still be able to walk to and from their homes.

Teams from the city’s public works department and the Helix water department worked on the site.
