Poland: the electoral commission will examine the protocols wrongly completed

On Monday at 5:00 p.m., the National Electoral Commission (PKW) will wrongly examine the protocols completed in certain constituencies at a meeting, announced Ryszard Kalisz, member of PKW, in a position on X. He referred to the second round of the presidential election.

According to official PKW results, the elections were won by Karol Nawrocki. The candidate supported by Law and Justice (PIS) won 10,606,877 votes, or 50.89%. He beat the Civic Coalition candidate (KO), Rafal Trzaskowski, who obtained the vote of 10,237,286 people in the second round, or 49.11%.

In the end, the validity of the presidential election is decided by the Supreme Court on the basis of the report presented by the PKW and after examining the demonstrations.

Certain entities, including voters, may submit written manifestations until June 16. The Supreme Court received 21 electoral demonstrations, Monika Drwal reported on Friday from the Supreme Court press team.

The irregularity signals appeared, among other things, in Minsk Mazowiecki. The authorities reported that the results of two candidates had been exchanged in one of the commissions. The president of the committee admitted that he had made a mistake in the minutes.

A similar incident occurred in Krakow, especially at PEC number 95 on Stawowa Street. The district electoral commission in Krakow investigates the issue.

The Chancellery of the Prime Minister and the President reacts

The case was discussed by the Polish authorities. Prime Minister Donald Tusk tried to reduce the mood of certain Internet users who suggested that the elections had been faked.

“Each case reported with irregularities in the counting of votes is verified and analyzed. Possible falsifications are the subject of an investigation and will be punished. The demonstrations will go to the Supreme Court. The head of the office of the outgoing Polish president, Małgorzata Paprocka, commented the question on Saturday. Although she admitted that there had been an error in one of the commissions in the counting of the votes, she added in an interview with Trwam TV that she was concerned with attempts to question the election results.

“The myth of falsification of the election result, undergoing the president’s mandate, trying to upset the public, trying to introduce such troubles is an absolutely scandalous thing,” she said during the interview. “Of course, such an error should not have occurred, of course, it should be clarified, but it has no impact,” said Paprocka.
