Varanasi is one of the 80 districts of the Uttar Pradesh. A bastion of the BJP, the city will go to the polls on June 1 during the seventh phase of the Lok Sabha elections.

The constituency will attend a closely viewed competition between the BJP Modi PM, Ajay Rai of the Congress and the Bahujan Samajwadi Party athar Jamal Lari.
