Prime Minister Narendra Modi will launch his campaign for the Bihar assembly elections next week, with as many as four election rallies planned between now and the end of the month, BJP president Dilip Jaiswal said.

Jaiswal said Modi would launch his campaign with a rally in Samastipur on October 24, followed by another election rally in Begusarai on the same day.

“The Prime Minister, who is among the world’s greatest leaders, will visit Karpoori Gram, the birthplace of Bharat Ratna Karpoori Thakur, in Samastipur district and pay homage to the former Bihar CM before addressing his first rally. His second rally will be held at Begusarai in the afternoon,” he said.
Jaiswal said the prime minister would return to the poll-bound state on October 30, when he would address rallies in Muzaffarpur and Chhapra, the town where the Saran district headquarters is located.

“Prime Minister’s rallies are also planned on November 2, 3, 6 and 7. Details of these will be shared in due course,” he said.

The legislative elections will take place in two phases, with 121 seats going to the polls on November 6 and voting scheduled in the remaining 122 constituencies on November 11. The result of the Assembly, made up of 243 members, will be announced on November 14.
