This is Prime Minister Modi’s third visit to the Congress-ruled state, where assembly elections are due at the end of the year.

BJP leader Arun Sao said the Prime Minister would address the ‘Parivartan Mahasankalp’ rally, the closing ceremony of two Parivartan Yatras.

Meanwhile, Prime Minister Modi has a busy schedule for the next six days as he is expected to attend eight public meetings in the four states of Madhya Pradesh, Rajasthan, Telangana and Chhattisgarh.

Modi will also hold two rallies in each of these states, according to News18.

On October 1 (Sunday), Prime Minister Modi will visit Mahabubnagar in Telangana to launch development projects worth over Rs 13,500 crore.

The next day (October 2), PM Modi will be in Chittorgarh in Rajasthan and Gwalior in Madhya Pradesh.

On October 3, the Prime Minister will return to Chattisgarh Nizamabad in Telangana to hold public meetings.

About Parivartan Yatra

While the first Parivartan Yatra was taken out from Dantewada (south Chhattisgarh) on September 12, the second one was rolled out from Jashpur (north Chhattisgarh) on September 15.

The two yatras saw 83 ‘Swagat Sabhas’ (welcome rallies), four road shows and various public meetings before culminating in Bilaspur, covering a distance of over 3,000 km through 87 assembly segments (out of a total of 90).

Bijapur, Sukma and Antagarh constituencies (all Maoist-affected) were not included in the route, but people belonging to these constituencies were engaged in the yatra as it passed through neighboring constituencies.
