PM Modi convenes Union Cabinet meeting at 6:30 pm today – Firstpost

The announcement comes after Prime Minister Modi today opened the discussion in Lok Sabha, where he spoke about 75 years of Indian Parliament and bid an emotional farewell to the old Parliament as the session is all set to move in the new building tomorrow.

Prime Minister Narendra Modi has convened a meeting of the Union Cabinet at 6:30 pm today as part of the ongoing special session of Parliament.

The agenda of the meeting, however, remains unknown.

The announcement comes after Prime Minister Modi today opened the discussion in Lok Sabha, where he spoke about 75 years of Indian Parliament and bid an emotional farewell to the old Parliament as the session is all set to move tomorrow in the new building.

Parliamentary Affairs Minister Pralhad Joshi said a total of eight bills were listed for consideration and passage during the session.

Leaders were informed at an all-party meeting on Sunday that one bill on welfare of senior citizens and three related to SC/ST order have been added to the agenda.

Some of the bills listed earlier include the one on the appointment of the Chief Election Commissioner and Election Commissioners.

Other activities listed for Lok Sabha include the Advocates (Amendment) Bill, 2023 and the Press and Registration of Periodicals Bill, 2023.
