PM Modi attends Mukhyamantri Parishad meeting in New Delhi


At the meeting, the Chief Ministers and Deputy Chief Ministers presented their report on the status of development and social welfare programs in their respective states as the BJP prepares for the upcoming Assembly polls and the 2024 Lok Sabha elections.

New Delhi: Prime Minister Narendra Modi on Sunday held a meeting with chief ministers and deputy chief ministers of BJP-led states at the party headquarters in New Delhi (Mukhyamantri Parishad meeting) to deliberate on the development work they have performed.

The meeting was also attended by BJP Chairman JP Nadda, its top leader and Union Minister Bhupender Yadav and Vinay Sahsrabuddhe, who heads the party’s Good Governance Cell.

Chief ministers and deputy chief ministers from 18 states where the BJP is in power, alone or in alliance with other parties, deliberated on achieving a target of 100% of all welfare schemes and centrally sponsored flagship programs, sources said.

Uttar Pradesh Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath, Madhya Pradesh Chief Minister Shivraj Singh Chouhan, Uttarakhand Chief Minister Pushkar Singh Dhami and Assam Chief Minister Himanta Biswa Sarma are among those who attended the meeting. Chief Minister of Nagaland Nephio Rio, Chief Minister of Karnataka Basavaraj Bommai, Chief Minister of Tripura Manik Saha, Chief Minister of Gujarat Bhupendra Patel, Chief Minister of Goa Pramod Sawant and Chief Minister of Tripura Manik Saha are also present.

Several Deputy Chief Ministers including Devendra Fadnavis of Maharashtra and Tarkishore Prasad and Renu Devi of Bihar attended the meeting.

During the last meeting, Prime Minister Modi affirmed that the development of youth and women empowerment is the priority area of ​​the government and said that there is need to strengthen the nutrition campaign and fight against malnutrition . The last development meeting was held in Varanasi in 2021.

The conclave was an opportunity to share best practices in governance and is part of the Prime Minister’s vision to promote India’s team spirit.
