Planned Parenthood worked on a sex ed program that keeps women away from teenage pregnancy talk

FIRST ON FOX – Planned Parenthood chapters helped create a K-12 sex ed curriculum for a national organization that said sex educators should avoid teaching children not to have sex casual sex and called for the elimination of women from conversations about teenage pregnancy.
A national organization called Cordea has partnered with Planned Parenthood chapters in Texas and produced a sex ed guide for teachers, according to a copy of the plan reviewed by Fox News Digital.
The Planned Parenthood-approved guide was used in the Sacramento City Unified School District in California. Fox News Digital previously reported that an early childhood development teacher, Danita McCray, recommended introducing concepts like sexuality and gender identity to toddlers with a “gender unicorn.”

Cordea’s “trauma-informed guide” suggested that bringing attention to risky behaviors could be a traumatic time for teens using sex as a coping mechanism.

According to the guide, “it is important to recognize that sometimes what health educators might consider ‘risky behaviors’ also serve as coping skills for survivors of trauma, i.e. substance use , sex without a condom, multiple partners, etc. Remember that taking risks is how some young people might try to cope with trauma.
He asked educators to “[c]creating a positive and affirming environment by removing shameful language.”
The guide then provided a list of examples to avoid. “The new wording includes gender and body diversity; it does not assume that all women have vaginas and all men have penises, and recognizes that some people’s gender is not binary and that they may not identify as male OR female.”

Therefore, sex educators should not discuss fertilization in female/male terms, according to the guide. This would include saying, “The only way a woman can get pregnant is for sperm to enter her vagina and fertilize one of her eggs.”
The right way to approach pregnancy – according to the guide – would be to deal strictly with body parts. “The only way a person can get pregnant is if sperm enters the vagina, fertilizes an egg, and then that fertilized egg implants in the uterus. This can happen during vaginal intercourse with a penis,” she said. guide.
Instead of telling teenagers, “Experimenting with sex to satisfy curiosity is unhealthy,” teachers should say, “Feeling curious about sex is something many young people go through when they become adults… Use condoms and other barriers, and make sure you can communicate effectively. with your partner(s).”

The guide recommends “gender-inclusive” language and changing discussions about casual sex.
