Boom Supersonic announced on Monday that his airliner can fly over Mach 1 without producing a audible sonic boom from the ground.
As Concorde could only steal Supersonic on water, this discovery could lead to a change in aviation laws and the first time allowing national supersonic commercial flights.
Current regulations prohibit planes from piloting Supersonic on land due to the risk of disturbing people of Sonic and harming buildings.
However, Boom’s CEO, Blake Scholl, hopes that business technology – nicknamed Boomless Cruise – can change that.

The Boom without Boom cruise is possible thanks to a physical term called Mach Coupoff.
If the sound barrier is broken at a sufficiently high altitude, the sound waves can mainly turn around in the atmosphere before reaching the ground.
Boom obtained the supersonic flight for the first time last month when his prototype XB-1 struck Mach 1.12 while flying over the Mojave desert.
