Pink cancels Swiss concert due to mysterious illness
Pink is “sorry” for cancelling her concert in Bern, Switzerland, at the last minute due to a mysterious illness.
“I am doing everything I can to make sure I can perform for you every night, but after consulting with my doctor and exploring all available options, I have been informed that I am unable to continue the show tomorrow,” the 44-year-old pop star wrote via Instagram on Tuesday alongside a black-and-white photo of herself on stage.
She then said she was “looking forward” to being with her fans and “making memories” with them.
Pink added that she was “so disappointed” by the cancellation and promised that all tickets would be refunded via Swiss concert promoter TAKK ab Entertainment.
The “Just Give Me a Reason” singer concluded her message to her fans: “Sending you all love and health, and I really hope to see you again soon. P!nk xoxo.”
Many followers were very encouraging in the comments section, telling Pink to “get well soon” and that they were sending her “lots of love and healing vibes.”
It’s unclear what illness the “Just Like a Pill” singer is currently battling. Page Six has reached out to her reps for comment but did not immediately hear back.
It’s also unclear whether Pink will have to miss other stops on her physically demanding Summer Carnival tour.
His next concert is scheduled in Copenhagen, Denmark, on Saturday.
One concerned fan wrote under Pink’s Instagram post: “Will you tell us in time if Copenhagen is cancelled. We need to cancel the hotel in time.”
Another added: “No, she never gives notice. Many of us have lost thousands of dollars on hotels and Air B&Bs.”
However, a third fan came to the “So What” singer’s defense, writing: “She lets people know whenever she can, she probably only found out now that she can’t perform.”
A fourth also supported her, adding: “You’re serious, she can’t help being sick or unable to perform. Sometimes it’s just not possible to prevent it.”
Last October, Pink abruptly canceled two shows in Tacoma, Washington, due to an undisclosed family emergency.
“Family medical issues require our immediate attention. I sincerely apologize to everyone for any inconvenience this may have caused,” she announced just two days before taking the stage.
The “Who Knew” singer then said later in the week that she had to cancel even more shows on her Trustfall tour because she was suffering from a respiratory infection.
