Friday, Myanmar was struck by a powerful earthquake of magnitude 7.7, with tremors felt through Thailand as well as in the neighboring Chinese provinces.
The earthquake sparked the collapse of buildings in Thailand, where the authorities declared an “emergency zone” in the capital Bangkok. The authorities run to save dozens of people considered to be trapped under the rubble of a skyscraper under construction in the city.
