Phil Neville admits he knows what the implications will be if his nightmare at Inter Miami continues.
The club suffered a sixth straight loss as they were given a 5-0 humiliation by New England Revolution on Wednesday night, a result that leaves them the worst record of all 27 MLS teams and the lowest in the Eastern Conference.
During the sterile run, Inter Miami scored just one goal and conceded 13.
Neville insists he doesn’t need the club’s owners, including his former England and Manchester United team-mate David Beckham to remind him that the results are not good enough.
“I feel their full support – I always have,” Neville said of the Miami owners. “They don’t need to talk to me about their concerns because I have the same concerns.
“I’ve been in football for quite a long time and I know the consequences – it’s not a problem for me. We are doing everything in our power, we just need better performance on the pitch.
“I have a great responsibility and I am responsible for everything I do. We’re on a run right now that’s putting pressure on me.
Inter Miami have Gonzalo Higuain and Blaise Matuidi in their ranks, but were 4-0 against the New England Eastern Conference tops at halftime.
Although his team are in bad shape, Neville said the performance took him by surprise and called on players to give more.
” I did not expect that. The players have to look at each other long and seriously, and me too, ”he added. “We win and we lose together.
“At the end of the day, it’s my job to make this team better, and right now they’re not. It’s on my shoulders.
“When we are disappointed, we have to make sure we can recover. This is football – having courage, bravery, not letting your teammates down on the pitch.
“We don’t and it’s something we haven’t done in the last six games. This is something we need to rectify as soon as possible.
“Did they have better players than us? On paper, no, but it’s a team and that’s what we need to become. That’s all I ask – a team that will fight for each other, look in the locker room and trust each other.

“That’s what I asked them to do – look at themselves in the mirror and ask, ‘What are you doing for the team? Nothing will deter me from trying to be successful at this football club.
Inter Miami have joined America’s top flight for the 2020 season, with Neville taking the job ahead of his second campaign after three years in charge of the England women’s team.
He has only won two league games since taking office and has apologized to Inter Miami fans for the performance and results.
“It’s the lowest in terms of feelings after a loss that I’ve had since joining this football club – and we’ve had a few disappointments,” Neville said.
“You can lose games in football, but the way we lost tonight was… we’ve said the wrong word in the past – it’s worse than that.
“It’s about playing for your pride, for the badge, for your supporters – I can only apologize to them for what they saw tonight. They are the ones I feel, more than myself or the players, because they deserve better.
