PGA Tour golfer Grayson Murray commits suicide in Palm Beach Gardens

Palm Beach Gardens police are investigating a death. According to Tuesday evening’s press release, Grayson C. Murray, 30, was found dead inside his Palm Beach Gardens residence at 11 a.m. Saturday. The police department said its initial investigation revealed no signs of foul play. The Associated Press reported Sunday that Murray’s parents say their son killed himself. Murray died Saturday, a day after withdrawing from a PGA Tour event at Colonial. His death comes at a time when Murray appeared to be on the right track with his life and his golf. He has spoken openly about his struggles with mental health and alcoholism. He said when he won the Sony Open in January that he had remained sober for the past eight months.
