Pet Foods Startup Dogsee Chew Raises Rs 50 Crore from Mankind Pharma, Sixth Sense Ventures

Pet food startup Dogsee Chew said on Wednesday it had raised Rs 50 crore in Mankind Pharma’s Series A with existing investor Sixth Sense Ventures. The investment in the company that offers 100% vegetarian dog treats marks Mankind Pharma’s entry into the pet food category, Dogsee Chew said in a statement.

Sixth Sense Ventures had also previously participated in the company’s pre-Series A funding in November 2021, he added. The funds will mainly be used for brand building, R&D and building a strong distribution network, the company said, adding that it currently exports its products to more than 30 countries.

Commenting on the fundraiser, Dogsee Chew Founder Bhupendra Khanal said, “Mankind Pharma has an established history of creating highly successful consumer products. Having the support of such a giant is a huge vote of confidence for us and we look forward to learning from their expertise. .”

Commenting on his investment, Mankind Pharma COO Arjun Juneja said, “The trust people have placed in Dogsee Chew has boosted our confidence to invest in a brand that is true to its nature.
